Source-backed comparison engine
Compare two cached USDA/FDC food records
Search the local FoodData Central cache, choose two foods, and compare nutrients per 100 g with visible source links. The tool does not call USDA from the frontend.
Best use
- Compare two source-backed food records before writing a food-vs-food article.
- Use the clean comparison route only after the foods and summary are reviewed.
- Use neutral wording such as higher/lower in a nutrient, not medical winner claims.
Source and safety model
Comparison results are educational and depend on the cached USDA/FDC records. Branded products, cooking states, and serving sizes can change; verify source records before publishing.
Semantic Food Comparison Engine
Build a source-backed food comparison
Search cached foods, choose Food A and Food B, then generate a neutral comparison table and canonical share URL.
No Food A selected.
No Food B selected.
Schema policy: comparison pages should use Food, NutritionInformation, Dataset, and ItemList-style graph nodes. Do not use medical claims or ClaimReview for ordinary nutrient comparisons.
