How to cook mussels?
In this recipe I will discuss how to cook mussels the most common way, but the secret tip will make your tongue go wow!

A deep pan or a stockpot
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp white wine
- 1 tea spoon lime juice
- 1/4 tea spoon salt
- 1 tbsp beer optional
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 100 g cleaned mussels with shell
Get 1 1/2 cups of water and add vinegar to it. Stir it well.
Dip the mussels in the water+vinegar mix and keep it for 10-15 minutes
Get a good-sized deep pan or stockpot and then add enough water to cover the bottom of the pan.
Here’s the fun part. Add white wine, a dip of lemon juice, a tinge of salt and (if you’re adventurous some beer) to the liquid and let it boil in medium to high heat.
After 15 minutes, drip off the water and keep the mussels aside till the water boils.
When the liquid boils (bubbles will come up at this stage) add mussels and cover it with a tight lid.
how long to cook mussels? This is a tricky question as it depends on the size of the shell. The best assumption would be between 4 minutes to 10 minutes.
how to know whether mussels are cooked enough? Simple. The shells will be opened and then you know they are cooked enough.
