Almond-Coconut Black Rice Porridge

  • 1 cup water
  • ¾ cup black rice, soaked in a single day
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • ½ cup coconut milk

Coarse sea salt, pinch

  • ½ cup coconut flakes
  • 1 nos banana (sliced) for serving


  • Position pre-soaked, tired, and rinseed black rice in a medium-sized pot. Upload water, almond milk, coconut milk, and salt. Deliver rice combination to a boil, cut back warmth, and simmer (coated) for an hour, stirring each and every 10 mins. For a thinner consistency, upload extra water or almond milk or water in opposition to the tip of cooking.
  • Because the porridge is cooking, position a frying pan over medium warmth and upload coconut flakes. Toast frivolously, stirring continuously for roughly 3 or 4 mins or till golden brown and aromatic.
  • Switch black rice porridge to bowls, best with sliced banana and toasted coconut and drizzle with coconut milk.
